5 of Our Favorite Picks for a Guest Bedroom that is Inviting
Rendering made by Jen Adair for Jen Adair Interiors (upcoming Indian Wells CC Project)
We live in the perfect spot to elicit plenty of guest stays in our home, I mean it's Palm Springs! I love, and I mean love, making our guest experience pleasant. I love a room that feels curated and well-thought-out. Natural colors that reflect nature and our desert location create a soothing environment, textures, layers, and some little extras that we all appreciate in a good hotel stay, such as bathrobes, luggage stands, crisp white sheets, a full-length mirror, and elevated bath and body products. You know exactly what I mean, right? Some additional items to consider are blackout curtains, bedside lighting, and charging ports.
Harriett Bed, Gibson Wheat, King
A gorgeous statement item like the Harriet bed lets your guests know right away that the sleep quality here is going to be a 10. (Side note: Hit me up if you want to purchase the best mattress of your life). The Harriet bed pairs well in most design styles but is unique enough to be interesting. Find yours here.
2. The Raimundo Rug
The Raimundo rug is the perfect place for your bare feet to land when you wake up. The perfect blend of soft, unique, and subtle. This rug is gorgeous in any room of the house but, I love the way it pairs with wood. Grab yours here.
3. Noeline 6-Drawer Dresser, Worn Oak Veneer
This sturdy, simple dresser is a beautiful addition to the guest room with plenty of space to store extra linens and guests belongings. Get yours here.
4. Calabasas Floor Mirror - Brass
This one seems like a no-brainer but how many times have you stayed in a guest room without a mirror? 5. Vittori Boucle Chair
This gorgeous Vittori boucle chair is a great place to catch a little quiet time, pull over a footstool from the end of the bed and grab your book. If your guest room can accommodate a chair it's a great option and gives your guest a place to read or work on the laptop in the privacy of their room. Purchase yours here.
All of these pieces work well together for a cohesive design, they elevate the space and are high quality, meaning they will last for years. Each item is trade quality which is a much higher quality than retail big box stores!
Lastly, don’t forget the details! Hang a hotel quality bathrobe or two on some wooden hangers on the back of the door, hand lotion next to the bed along with a water carafe. I like to stock my guest baths with Aesop shampoo, conditioner, body wash, and plenty of fluffy towels. I also have a small container in both my guest bathrooms that I throw travel- size products into, it’s nice to know you can stay here without bringing all the things!
